Turn and face the strange…
Been awhile, redux
🌊 Hi all, it has once again been a while. Things have been progressing as usual, but I’ve been lax about updating this blog.
I’d like to say it’s because I’ve been spending my time working on the game and a pitch deck (because that’s true), but I would like to be better about documentation!
So here’s a documentation dump. The plan for 2024 was to assemble a team and to secure funding from a publisher. I found some great folks who were interested in working on the game on contingency of receiving funding, and I contacted a bunch of publishers, but it didn’t pan out.
Which is okay! Well, the funding part, anyway; no one hits it on their first shot. I’m grateful for the support of my teammates, though, and I’m unhappy that my plan didn’t work out.
So it’s back to me and Joel for the time being. I’m going to look for other paths to funding, and keep working on the game as much as I’m able to in my free time.
So! What’s up? I’ve added a couple of developer logs below that go over the work I’ve done in the past few months, but the TL;DW (Watch) is: a lot of under the hood refactoring, a lot of polish, many UI improvements, and most recently, some fun new gameplay mechanics and level design.
Watch the videos if you’re inclined, and please sign up for our mailing list at the bottom of the page if you’re into what we’re up to here. And once again, thanks so much for reading, and for your support. ✨
